설립과 비전
효사랑선교회는 "하나님의 자녀로서의 정체성을 회복하고, 믿음의 유산을 다음 세대에
전하는 것"을 비전으로 세워진 기독교 비영리 선교단체입니다.
김영찬 목사님은 파지티브교회를 섬기던 당시 많은 시니어 성도들을 만나면서, 노년 사역의 중요성과 성경적 '효(孝)'의 가치를 깊이 깨닫게 되었습니다. 이를 계기로 2002년 효사랑
선교회를 설립하여 20여 년 동안 지역사회와 함께 걸어오고 있습니다.
효사랑선교회는 단순한 노인 복지기관이 아닙니다. 우리는 모든 사람이 하나님의 자녀로서의 정체성을 발견하고, 변화된 삶을 통해 존경받는 부모와 어르신으로 살아가며, 다음 세대에게 가장 귀한 믿음의 유산을 전하는 것을 사명으로 삼고 있습니다.
우리의 비전은 "노인으로 살아가는 것이 아니라, 존경받는 어르신으로 살아가는 것"입니다.
핵심 사역
효 사랑 시니어대학
효사랑 시니어대학은 성경 파노라마, 음악, 난타, 하모니카, 라인댄스, 자서전 쓰기, 도예,
스마트폰 및 AI 교육 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 시니어들이 평생 배우고 성장하도록 돕고 있습니다.
노년은 인생의 쇠퇴기가 아니라, 하나님께서 주신 삶의 가치를 완성해 가는 소중한 시간이라는 믿음으로 시니어들의 영적·정서적·사회적 성장을 지원합니다.
선교와 지역사회 봉사
배움을 실천으로 이어가기 위해 양로병원 봉사, 지역사회 섬김, 멕시코 엔세나다 단기선교(양로원, 여성재활센터, 초등학교 봉사) 등을 꾸준히 진행하며 하나님의 사랑을 나누고
있습니다.
청소년 정체성 사역
효사랑선교회는 다음 세대가 하나님 안에서 자신의 정체성을 발견하도록 돕기 위해 미주
청소년 정체성 글짓기·그림 공모전을 매년 개최하고 있습니다.
이를 통해 청소년들이 성경적 가치관을 세우고, 건강한 믿음의 다음 세대로 성장하도록 돕고 있습니다.
지역사회와 함께하는 사역
효사랑선교회는 20여 년 동안 지역사회와 함께하며 시니어와 가정, 다음 세대를 섬겨
왔습니다.
이러한 헌신은 부에나파크 시를 비롯하여 연방하원의원, 주 상원의원, 주 하원의원 등 여러 기관으로부터 감사장과 표창을 받으며 그 가치를 인정받았습니다.
또한 김영찬 목사님은 미국 사역 이전에 아프리카 탄자니아의 미전도 종족 선교사로 헌신하였으며, 그 경험을 바탕으로 지금도 복음과 사랑을 실천하는 사역을 이어가고 있습니다.

Welcome to Hyosarang Mission Church.
Our Foundation & Vision
Hyosarangus Mission is a Christian nonprofit organization founded with the vision of helping people discover their God-given identity and pass on a legacy of faith to future generations.
While serving Positive Church, Rev. Young Chan Kim recognized the growing spiritual and practical needs of senior adults. Through this experience, God placed a burden on his heart for senior ministry and the biblical value of filial love and honor. In response to this calling, he founded Hyosarangus Mission in 2002. For more than two decades, the mission has faithfully served the local community.
Hyosarangus Mission is much more than a senior ministry. We believe that when people discover their identity as children of God, their lives are transformed. Through that transformation, they become respected parents, grandparents, and leaders who leave a lasting legacy of faith for the next generation.
Our vision is simple yet profound:
"Don't simply grow old—live as a respected elder who leaves a legacy of faith."
Our Core Ministries
Hyosarang Senior College
Hyosarang Senior College offers a wide variety of educational and enrichment programs, including Bible Panorama, music, Nanta, harmonica, line dancing, autobiography writing, ceramics, smartphone technology, and AI education.
We believe that later life is not a season of decline, but a season of purpose—an opportunity to continue growing spiritually, intellectually, and socially while fulfilling God's calling.
Mission & Community Outreach
Learning is put into action through service. Students actively participate in nursing home ministry, community outreach, and short-term mission trips to Ensenada, Mexico, serving nursing homes, women's rehabilitation centers, and local elementary schools.
Through these ministries, participants share the love of Christ while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Youth Identity Ministry
Hyosarangus Mission is deeply committed to helping the next generation discover their identity in Christ.
Each year, we host the American Youth Identity Writing & Drawing Contest, encouraging young people to build a strong biblical foundation, develop godly character, and embrace God's purpose for their lives.
Serving Our Community
For more than 20 years, Hyosarangus Mission has faithfully served senior adults, families, and the next generation throughout Southern California.
The mission's commitment to community service has been recognized by the City of Buena Park, members of the United States Congress, the California State Senate, the California State Assembly, and other civic leaders through numerous awards and certificates of appreciation.
Before beginning his ministry in the United States, Rev. Young Chan Kim served as a missionary to an unreached people group in Tanzania, Africa. His missionary experience continues to shape the mission's heart for evangelism, compassionate service, and helping people discover their God-given identity
